Barack Obama: Inauguration 2009

Okay I finally step away from the TV long enough to post up that Barack Obama is now the 44th U.S. President as of 12 Noon on Tuesday January 20th. (Yes We Can!)

First Lady Michelle Obama looked divine in a Isabel Toledo dress while Malia and Sasha wore colorful wool coats from Crewcuts by J. Crew. (Did you know that Michelle worn this all-black design from the Cuban-born American designer back in 2008?)

For the Neighborhood Ball which air exclusively on ABC, Michelle selected a one shoulder ivory Jason Wu gown. The First Lady previously wore a black and white sheath dress for the Barbara Walters Special (see left).

Random thought: Anyone else felt that her hair should been up? Love it or hate this look. The Huffington Post wants YOUR feedback! Barack thinks it's a winner and I quote the President himself: "How good looking is my wife?"

Celestina Featured in T-Pain's "Freeze" Music Video

Celestina who was featured back in 2007 is the lead female dancer in T-Pain's "Freeze" video with Chris Brown. (To keep you up to speed, Celestina's a Nigerian-American inspiring dancer best known for her roles in Prince's "Black Sweat" and Usher's "Yeah" videos.) The dance heavy video ("Freeze") was directed by Syndrome. Celestina brought out her signature Matrix-like dance move (see photo collage below) for the video treatment. She naturally acted as the leader of the pack in the one scenes. Check it out...

I do not co-sign on T-Pain's outfit! (LOL!) I do co-sign on Celestina's drive to succeed in the music entertainment business - a field she told me was not embraced by Naija parents.
What do you think of Celestina's performance - hot or not?

Random thoughts: Go rent/buy/borrow "Tomorrow Must Wait" with Nadia Burai, Omotola Ekehinde, and Nonso Diobi. I'm on part 3 currently and it's some good old drama. Check out this brief clip...

Okay since I was on YouTube I had to post this song by Agatha Moses. Extra bonus points for those who enjoy her music...

I hope 2009 started on the right foot for FG2BH readers...

Striking Looks from Kate Henshaw, Samantha Mumba & Liya Kebede

New mom/Nollywood actress Kat Henshaw-Nattal looked fierce in a red satin Nicole Miller dress at a event in Lagos, Nigeria. (She was hands down the best dressed at the celebration.) Find out which Hollyood star rock the same dress in a different color over over at FG2BH Blog.

Kate did a GREAT job in "Consequences" (one of my favorite Nollywood film) with Ramsey Noah and here's the trailer for those who hasn't seen the film yet:

Samantha Mumba has been under the radar ever since her "Dancing on Ice" gig ended months ago but she resurfaced with a new male friend at a party in Beverly Hills. Find out Samantha's new close friend is here.

My random thought: As The King of Pop (re: Michael Jackson) expressed years ago, Korto's a true Liberian girl.

I couldn't resist posting this song but I had to add this song onto FG2BH regardless of the timing! Okay was I the only African female to have folks asking me what does "Naku Penda Piya-Naku TakaPiya-Mpenziwe" mean?
