I've been busy inking and chalking. I LOVE inking shirts. Cheap shirts, shirts from my closet, you name it, nothing is safe around me!

I recently got an order in, and I couldn't wait to try out some stuff!

For this project, I grabbed a shirt out of my closet, and our new Club Couture Transfer. Don't you love it?

I inserted the mat in between the layers of the shirt.

When I ink shirts, I gently fold the transfer in half (at the top) to find the middle. I then place that little line right at the v of the shirt. I spread the ink, remove the excess, then immediately remove the transfer and wash it in the kitchen sink.

In order the place the birds, I used a hair dryer to dry the ink. To keep any ink from going through the transfer with the two birds, I placed the backer sheet under part of the transfer.

The image is a little blurry. Now it's time to heat set the t-shirt. BUT, it has to thoroughly dry first.

So, I decide to work on my next project, a chalk project. I used one of the House Pattern Transfers and our NEW FORMULA of Chalk Paste. We call it creamy dreamy and it certainly is!!!

In fact, it's so creamy that I only had to use the little bit that was on the seal when I pulled it off.

You can pick up one of those little chalkboards for a buck at your local $$ Tree! Isn't it adorable? Soooo quick and easy!

I use a Cricut Easy Press and teflon pad for making the ink permanent. I also use a piece of parchment paper. I set the Heat Press to 320° and 30 seconds on the timer.

So, the ink dried and it was time to heat set it. I placed the teflon pad inside the shirt. It aids in heat setting the ink because it reflects the heat.

I place the parchment paper over the image, lay the heat press on it, and start the timer.

Sometimes, I walk away to prepare a next shirt, fold laundry etc. You can get a lot of stuff done in 30 seconds!  ;)

Depending on the color of the shirt, it may achieve a temporary color change because of the heat.

Then, I turn the shirt inside out, again, placing the teflon pad inside the shirt.

I don't generally use the parchment paper on this step.

Finally, the finished result. You may see some shadowing on the bird on the left. When spreading the ink, I used a small squeegee and it left some lines in the ink. I'm okay with that.

Notice that the shirt has lost the discoloration of the fabric already. HINT: I use the easy press to iron the entire shirt when I'm finished.
