Happy Haunting Shaker Tag

Well, I just have a quick post to share today with a fast and easy Halloween shaker tag.  I love crafting for Halloween, so it came together just as I had envisioned it.  Don't you love it when that happens?

I started with some of my favorite REVERSE CONFETTI stamps and dies:

After creating the basic shaker tag, I just embellished it with the ribbons and button, and finished it off with the strip of white that I added the sentiment to and the spooky bat for lots of dimension.  Since I curved the sentiments strip, and then placed the bat on top, he sits a good 1/2" away from the tag itself.

I did try something I hadn't done in the past.  I used a foam "pop dot" solid sheet for my outside edge.  I actually cut it using the Web Tag Layer, and just trimmed out the inside of it (the web part), basically cutting the web part out and just leaving the "frame" of the tag layer.  It worked out pretty nice!  Next time, I'd rather use some black pop dot sheet just because of the colors I chose for my tag.  I ended up coloring the outside of my foam edge that showed with a black sharpie.  I highly don't recommend that.  It took forever to dry and I still have black ink all over my hands!

October Sketch for You to Try from Reverse Confetti

Well, today it's my turn to share my latest card for the OCTOBER SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY from REVERSE CONFETTI.  It's a great sketch, but aren't they all???  Haha.

SFYTT
I've had this idea rumbling in my head for a week or so now to use the large flower from the BUILD A BUNCH Confetti Cuts to create a sunflower, so I based my card around using that as an embellishment.  I layered a piece from the EVERY LITTLE BIT 6X6 pad for my pattern to really kick up the color of this card.  The main panel is from my favorite die set right now--the PIERCED ROUND TOP LAYERS Confetti Cuts onto which I stamped the AUTUMN BLESSINGS sentiment and cute background toward the bottom in Tangerine ink.  I then made the two "sunflowers" with some Sunshine cardstock, and then used the smallest "stitched" circle from the DETAILED CIRCLES Confetti Cuts for the center of the larger flower.  The smaller center was just circle punched.

Here's a look at what I used today. Y'all be sure and head on over to the Reverse Confetti Blog
to see what the other gals have created for today, and all the details on how to play along for a chance to win a Reverse Confetti Gift Certificate! Why don't you play along!?!?!

Simply Grateful October Blog Hop from Reverse Confetti

Well, it's the 8th of the month and that means it's time for a little inspiration with our monthly blog hop from REVERSE CONFETTI!  There's no release this month, but you'll LOVE what's coming in November!

The hop started over on the REVERSE CONFETTI BLOG and then moves on over AMY KOLLING'S BLOG, and you should have made it here from LAURIE'S BLOG. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of projects for you to see focusing on all that Reverse Confetti offers.

I think this weekend I'll start doing a little fall decorating, and thought this fall themed card would be a nice way to kickstart that little task.  The patterned papers I chose to use are from the FRIGHT NIGHT 6X6 Paper Pad and also the UNDER THE UMBRELLA 6X6 pad.  After I made a nice little base layer on my card, I created the main circle panel using the new FA LA LA CIRCLE Confetti Cuts and cutting them from Sand, Dark Roast, and Avocado cardstocks.  I topped that layered circle panel with the GRATEFUL, THANKFUL, BLESSED Confetti Cuts die.  I added a final touch of the small pumpkin on top of my bow by cutting it from the TOO CUTE TO SPOOK Confetti Cuts set.

Normally, I'm the last person on the hop every month, but this time, one of our very special guests is following me up to close us out...
I think you're going to like her--

A few things before you hop along though, just to keep you “in the know”…

Okay, I'm off to start pulling out those Rubbermaid tubs with all my fall decor!!!

I'm on Confetti Camera

Well, today is CONFETTI CAMERA day over on the REVERSE CONFETTI BLOG.  Every Thursday, the spotlight shines on one of the Confetti Crew designers and offers a glimpse into their creative process about their project created just for that day.

Today it's my turn, and this time the Confetti Crew is highlighting our cardstock and ink colors with a fun theme called Color Me Mine.  Find out more about it on the Reverse Confetti Blog!

So this is a little sneak peek at what I made.  Can you guess what we're celebrating here?  Check out my full project and lots more details over on the REVERSE CONFETTI BLOG HERE.

Stamptember: Simon Says Stamp, Reverse Confetti, and SFYTT

Well, come to find out, it's not September.  It's STAMPtember®!  Welcome to the month-long stamp party presented by SIMON SAYS STAMP, fondly known as STAMPtember®.  You won't want to miss all the fun, such as sales, exclusive new products, giveaways, inspiration, celebration and special guests on the Simon Says Stamp website and blog!  You'll definitely want to check out what's new every day.

I'm excited to share a card today that I made with the exclusive, limited edition REVERSE CONFETTI stamp set, CELEBRATE YOUR DAY.

Two reasons I love this set:
1.  It's adorable.
2.  100% of the profits from this stamp set will go to support The Pink Fund (a charity near and dear to Jen's heart), that offers financial support to those who need it during their breast cancer treatments.

CELEBRATE YOUR DAY will only be available while supplies last over on the SIMON SAYS STAMP website.  Grab one and help us support The Pink Fund.  You can find more inspiration with this set on the Simon Says Stamp blog and by searching #Stamptember on social media.

To start my card off, I used this month's SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY from REVERSE CONFETTI.  Although the main stamp from this set spans the width of a vertical 4 1/4" card, I decided to turn my card (and sketch) and create a horizontal layout since I wanted to add the cute cake from the Candles 'n Confetti set.

Y'all be sure and head on over to the Reverse Confetti Blog to see what the other gals have created for today, and all the details on how to play along for a chance to win a Reverse Confetti Gift Certificate! It would sure be sweet if you played along!  LOL!
