Blooming with Happiness Pop Out Card

Well, I almost forgot to share this with y'all today.  I've been just a wee bit busy with working, teaching, designing and helping with a "prom-posal" from Daniel, Lindsie's boyfriend!  Prom and banquet season is here and it's scary!  I'll be sure to share pictures once it comes in May.

This POP-OUT card was a super fun one to make, modeled after one a friend of mine made with her Silhouette.  Mine is all hand measured and cut, with TONS of Confetti Cuts from REVERSE CONFETTI!

I actually had my girls make this at my last 'Fetti Fans Workshop on Tuesday at The Little Blue House.  I told them they were either going to love me or hate me for having this as one of their projects, but it didn't turn out too hard and they really LOVED it! (At least that's what they told me!)

I forgot to take a picture of it folded flat, but it does fold down as a 5.25" square to go into a square envelope.  There are so many Confetti Cuts on here, most of which are just for all the decorative items.

The sentiment comes from the newest HANGING BASKET stamp set that I added to the tag.

I thought the card was a good one for Mother's Day or just an all occasion type card.  It's so bright and sunshiny.  It would make anyone's day!

That's about all from me today!  I'm getting ready to dive into May's Reverse Confetti release stuff, coming soon on May 8th!  Sneak Peeks will start on the 5th...prepare yourself for the cuteness!!!

April Sketch for You to Try from Reverse Confetti

Well, today it's my turn to share my latest card for the April SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY from REVERSE CONFETTI.

This is another card I made quite some time ago to fit this month's sketch, which I LOVE!

I thought it'd be fun to go completely simple and make a birthday card with very little stamping!  I started with the idea of using the "sweet" from the LOVEY WORDS Confetti Cuts and the "birthday wishes" from the SWEET THING stamp set (now retired and no longer available).  Then, with the hot air balloons on the patterned paper, I thought it would be cute to use the SUN 'N CLOUDS Confetti Cuts as my "image" to go with the sentiment.  Once everything was cut and stamped, I added it to the CIRCLES 'N SCALLOPS combo for the main focus.  Easy peasy and a perfect card for a summer birthday!

Y'all be sure and head on over to the Reverse Confetti Blog

April Blog Hop from Reverse Confetti

Well, it's the 8th of the month and that means it's time for a brand new shiny blog hop from REVERSE CONFETTI!  This time, the Confetti Crew is showing off a new creation, and also a couple of favorite "oldies" that we've made in the past.  WHY?  Well, to keep things fresh and new over at Reverse Confetti, we are retiring several stamp and die sets.  You'll want to get your hands on the retirees before it's too late, because when they're gone, they're gone.  Jen's got a complete list over on the RC Blog HERE.  :(

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from LAURIE'S BLOG. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of projects for you to see using all the new Reverse Confetti stamp sets and dies!

So let's start off with my NEW card!  Audrie has a big day today, singing a solo in a UIL contest and then heading straight to Denton to play a soccer game.  Since last weekend's focus was on Lindsie, I thought she needed a little extra attention, so I made this card to set on her nightstand so she'd see it when she woke up this morning.  :)

I started with my card front consisting of a piece of patterned paper from the TRUE LOVE 6x6 pad and the BIG CHEVIES COVER PANEL Confetti Cuts.  I used the pinked circle from the FLOWERS FOR MOM Confetti Cuts upon which I stamped and cut the UNICORN WISHES cutie and coordinating UNICORN WISHES Confetti Cuts.  Just a couple of sweet touches finishes this card off--some holographic rhinestones (from Thailand), some Wink of Stella on my unicorn, a cute bow from some baker's twine, and the detail I added from the EDGE ESSENTIALS Confetti Cuts.

Now on to my blasts from the past.  I'm sad to see these go.

This card features one of our old "Quirky Cuties" friends, ROCKY RACCOON

And lastly here's another favorite using the FRESH 'N FRUITY stamp set and the FRESH 'N FRUITY Confetti Cuts.

Okay, don't forget to see the entire list of retiring stamps AND Confetti Cuts over on the REVERSE CONFETTI Blog HERE and pick out a few things on our Save Big SALE!  Here's a quick look at what I used today on my NEW card:

You've reached the end of the hop!  If you got lost along the way, you can find the hop order and list of all the participating designers in the master list below or on the Reverse Confetti blog.

A few things before you hop along though, just to keep you “in the know”…

Thanks for Being You

Well, it's time for my usual Thursday update and RC post!  Last weekend was pretty eventful as we went on a whirlwind weekend road trip to Nashville for Lindsie's show choir competition.  While they didn't place, the kids all had an amazing time touring Nashville and performing with some other show choirs from around the country that are second to none!  We are so proud of them for getting up there with "the big dogs" with confidence and giving it all they had!  Our Voices of Central from Keller, Texas are AMAZING

(This pic is from their Austin competition where they won Grand Champion 2 weeks ago.  Lindsie is second from the right on the front row.)

So today, I have a quick little card to share as a thank you to all of our choir directors at Lindsie's school.  Their jobs are not easy, teaching a bunch of rambunctious teenagers music all day, dealing with their drama (and their parents), getting everything including buses for some, planes for others and all accommodations coordinated so that everyone would be where they need to be when they needed to be there for competitions, and spending countless nights figuring all this out on their own time, all while taking care of their own families and life in general...I cannot imagine and don't see how they even do it!  Thank you.

I started my card off by making this tag from the THANKS TAG Confetti Cuts, and stamped the ELEMENTAL STRIPES across it.  The flowers are stamped and cut from the BLOOMS 'N BUDS set and tucked behind the "thanks" from the WHOLE LOTTA THANKS that was also cut using the WHOLE LOTTA THANKS Confetti Cuts.  After embellishing the tag, it was all popped up onto my card base that has a LINKED CIRCLES Cover Panel cut from the STORMY Cardstock all from REVERSE CONFETTI.

Okay, I'll leave it at that today.  Thanks to Y'ALL for being YOU, too!  XOXOXO
