Mothers Day Card and box

Card
Card Box

Nearly another year has passed by and I have been really neglecting my blog. Hopefully that will change. I haven't had a lot of time to do a lot of papercrafting since my granddaughter arrived. She is 10 months old now and so precious. Needless to say I have been spending a lot of time with her. Just lately I have made the invitations for my daughters wedding which is in July. I have a bit of catching up to do and hope to add a few cutting files soon.

I just finished this card for my MIL. She is so hard to buy presents for so I thought I would make an extra effort with her Mother's Day card this year. Because the roses stand up on the card I decided to make a box to put the card in.

All cutting was done on my "Zing" electronic cutter using Make the Cut software. The patterned digital papers I purchased from Shery K Designs here. (Check out her site - she has some lovely designs). I printed the papers onto matte photo paper and cut them on the Zing. The Mothers Day wording was printed onto the paper and cut to size to fit in the middle of the card. The file for the roses (a little bit fiddly as it was my first go at them) is from Pam's blog here. I added a little bling to the petals and around the pink border.

I can't believe it has been a year sinc...

I can't believe it has been a year since my last post - where did the time go?
I have had such a busy year, and I about to become a grandma in July so I thought I would share what I made for the baby shower we had last weekend.
The pram favour box was inspired by an image for a card I found on a blog. There is a template for the card on the Splitcoaststampers website, but I couldn't find it so I made my own in Make the Cut software. For the card I used a leftover pram cut which I had left over because of a boo boo I made when embossing the side of the prams.

Mothers Day Card

This card I made for Mothers Day using "Make the cut" software. Patterned paper is from DCWV Citrus range. The lettering is AS Christmas Script.
You can download the file for the card here. (This is an .mtc file so you will need Make the Cut software to make this card)

Baby Shower Gifts...

Apologies for my lack of posting lately. Since Christmas my MIL has had health issues so I have been busy tending to some of her needs, also family life has been hectic. I have managed to do some crafting though. I made this "Nappy Cake" for a friends DIL's baby shower. As we don't know the sex of the baby yet, I chose a jungle theme (kind of) and cut various animals on the Cricut Expression to fit the theme. Some are from Cricut cartridges, some files were created from files using Make the Cut software. I squeezed a rattle, some bibs and a smiley night light in between the nappies on the tiers. The animals have velcro dots on the back so they can be used to decorate walls or locations in the nursery. Here is the "cake"

and this is the bottle shape baby card I made - not in keeping with the theme, but I thought it was cute.
