Ogden Valley Utah Forum - 5 new articles Continued Election Content CensoringWe at the Ogden Valley Forum decided to come out of blogging retirement because we are disappointed—and frankly disgusted—by the ongoing censorship surrounding this election. Far too many local Facebook groups that claim to be “unbiased” are silencing voices that question Janet Wampler’s background or express support for Shanna Francis. This censorship is only getting worse. Residents who raise legitimate questions about Janet’s political leanings, or who speak up in favor of Shanna, are being blocked, removed, or otherwise shut out of the conversation. That isn’t healthy... Conflict of Interest? You DecideConflict of Interest? You Decide. In the attached video, candidate Wampler states emphatically that she has no conflicts of interest. She acknowledged that in the mid-2000s her father invested in Wolf Creek, but noted that it was long ago and he is no longer involved. On the surface, that sounds reasonable—until you look closer. The Wampler Family WCRH, LLC appears on the Utah business entity website, created in 2018 and most recently renewed on 3/31/2025. That’s not the mid-2000s. Even more concerning, the Registered Agent is listed as John Lewis, the principal behind Wolf... It quickly became the most popular site of its kind because we didn’t censor voices—we welcomed all opinions, whether we agreed with them or not. Later, the site evolved into a Facebook page, but we stayed true to those same ideals. A few years ago, we chose to pause and let other local groups take the lead.
