Stamper's Delights: Thrifty Thursday - February 20th

Hello lovely crafters! I hope Thursday is treating you right so far! It's even better when you remember that it's Thrifty Thursday, right? Stamper's Delights (formerly Scrapper's Delights) brings you amazing deals on featured images with deep discounts each month - don't miss out! In addition, every 2nd and 3rd Thursday I'll be sharing a project with you featuring one of the discounted images

This image is called Willie's Gifts. I really wanted to use some of these Christmas/Winter images, but since we're past the Christmas season for now, I put a new spin on them. This is an anniversary card with a sweet little heart shaker box!

I printed Willie onto Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored with Copic Markers - I buy all of mine at Scrapbookpal.com for their low prices and fast shipping. The heart dies are from Sizzix. The sequins came from Tuesday morning. Ribbon is May Arts, Stitched Square die is from Gina Marie Designs, embossing folder is Cuttlebug/Provo and the sentiment is called Simple Sayings Candies from Jaded Blossom.

Polkadoodles' Digi Choosday - Week 7: Anything Goes!

Good morning everyone! It's Choosday already! That means a new Digi Choosday challenge, and a new DISCOUNT CODE for the Polkadoodles shop! Head over to the blog to grab it before your shopping spree!

Today's challenge is, as always, Anything Goes! My card today is all about pastels and spring! Spring is my second-favorite season weather-wise, but I love the rebirth aspect, the flowers and the soft colors.

I've used the adorable Sparkle Unicorn in a pastel rainbow of happiness to try to capture some spring feelings. This image is called Sparkle - Swingin' By To Say Hi. I've paired her with this wonderful sentiment from the Winnie Celebrations 1 kit. Flowers are from design sheets in the Helga Hippo kit and the bee is an element in the Winnie Fruit Punch kit.

To create this project, I printed Sparkle onto Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored with Copic Markers - I buy all of mine at Scrapbookpal.com for their low prices and fast shipping. I cut her with my scan n cut - so easy! Rainbow cutting plate die from Taylored Expressions, stitched ovals cut with dies from Gina Marie Designs. Lots of foam tape for dimension and depth!

Don't forget to head over to the blog to grab today's discount code! Then shop your heart out. Choosday is the best day!

Polkadoodles' Gems Challenge - Week 4: Anything Goes!

Good morning everyone. It's Saturday - time for a new Gem of a Challenge from Polkadoodles! You can find our challenge blog here: A Gem of a Challenge

Happy Valentine's weekend! These TOO CUTE sweeties are perfect for Valentine's, winter and spring birthdays, and Easter too. I love them all - there's just no way to pick a favorite. The January release that we've been showcasing these last few challenges comes in the option of black and white line art or pre-colored images, so much flexibility!

I've used Too Cute Foxy Love and Kisses to create my card today. A PINK FOX for Valentine's Day?? Yes please!! I printed him onto Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored with Copic Markers - I buy all of mine at Scrapbookpal.com for their low prices and fast shipping. I cut him with my scan n cut - so easy!

To make the background, I used papers from the Rose Budd download collection (this collection is MASSIVE and such a great deal!). I've also used papers from Lily Bug Love Paper Heaven 1 and Paper Heaven 3. My pre-colored toadstool scene element is from Lily Bug Love Stuff,  and the "with" part of my sentiment here comes from Lily Bug Love Quotes. I've used lots of foam squares on the various layers, as well as using border dies to create depth and texture across the card. Click to enlarge the photo and see all the details!

Our Gem of a Challenge challenges run for 2 weeks, so you've got lots of time to link up, and they are ALWAYS Anything Goes! Visit the challenge blog HERE

Everyone loves free digis, am I right? The theme for our challenge is Anything Goes. My favorite! It's so easy to enter - just make something using your Time For Tea Designs images and post them! Share with the hashtag #timeforteadesigns so we can find them, and you're entered to win! Challenges run monthly, and we will have a spotlight and a prize winner at the end of each challenge. Oh, and I have a discount code for you to use - T4TJENNIFER10 will save you 10% on your order from the Time For Tea shop! Yayyyy :)

For my card today, I've mixed and matched a bunch of stamps, dies and stencils to create this fun spring scene!

There's a lot going on here today - I'll walk you through my process on creating with these cuties. To make it easier to write this post, I'm including all links at the end in their own section instead of within the text here.

First, I cut a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock using my stitched rounded rectangle die. This will be the base piece for creating this scene. I had envisioned the sunrays in the background of the card, with 2 "spotlights" where we can see the fairy flying down towards the flower and the second, larger spotlight where the bunnies are enjoying the flower.

I stamped all my images, and cut the flower with the coordinating dies. I ran all the rest of the images through my Scan N Cut and cut them all out. Then I colored everything that needed it, added stickles and Wink of Stella and set aside.

Now comes the fun part - building the scene! I first placed the Large Circle Masking Stencil over my ground section, taped off the grass, and added Clouds using the Sunny Side Up stencil, my Beautiful Blender Brushes, and the 2 blue shades of Distress Oxide Inks. I flipped the tape around and laid the base for the grass using Twisted Citron. Then I went over it in layers using the grass cut out side of the stencil and Mowed Lawn ink. I removed all of that masking and laid the Small Circle Masking die over the upper right corner to do a little more cloudy sky background for my fairy element.

Next I used the negative of the stencils and masked off both of the sections I just made. This is to protect them from getting sunrays over the top of them. First, I taped off a straight line and added more hazy grass using Mowed Lawn ink, and oversprayed it with water from my Mini Mister to create some texture and break up the solid block. I flipped my tape to protect the new grass, and using the sunrays section of the Sunny Side Up stencil, I added lots of sunshine to the background using Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Inks. Then I oversprayed those with gold color splash spray from Fun Stamper's Journey.

After everything was dry, I attached the background of the scene to the Cherry Pop cardstock, on which I used corner rounding punches to round off the corners for continuity. Next, I started to assemble the stamped elements of the scene onto the background. I've used foam tape in varying thicknesses to make things stand out a bit more.

I hope you enjoyed my project today. If you've got a moment, head over to join our FB communityfollow us on Instagram, and don't forget to play along with our monthly challenges by tagging #timeforteadesigns - so easy! Thanks for stopping by!
