Timbre "Animaux de compagnie populaires - Inséparables" sur FDC d'Allemagne 

Après un chat en 2023, un chien en 2024 et un lapin en 2025, la Deutsche Post a mis en circulation, le 8 janvier 2026, un 4ème timbre d'une série intitulée "Animaux de compagnie populaires" ("Beliebte Haustiere"), illustrant cette fois un oiseau.
Ce timbre (0,95€, conception : Thomas Steinacker), imprimé en feuillet de 10 timbres, a été utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessous avec TAD Premier Jour de Berlin. Merci beaucoup Jens !
Depuis leur domestication il y a quelques siècles, les oiseaux de compagnie sont devenus de fidèles compagnons. Moins câlins que d'autres animaux, ils apportent de la joie par leur nature attachante et leur intelligence surprenante.
Selon une enquête effectuée en 2024, 3% des foyers allemands possèdent des canaris, des perroquets (y compris des perruches) et d'autres oiseaux, appréciés pour leur beauté, leur vivacité et leur taille relativement compacte. 
Following a cat in 2023, a dog in 2024, and a rabbit in 2025, the Deutsche Post put into circulation, on January 8, 2026, a fourth stamp in a series entitled "Popular Pets" ("Beliebte Haustiere"), this time featuring a bird.

Since their domestication a few centuries ago, pet birds have become loyal companions. Less cuddly than some other animals, they bring joy through their endearing nature and surprising intelligence.
According to a survey conducted in 2024, 3% of German households own canaries, parrots (including budgies), and other birds, prized for their beauty, liveliness, and relatively compact size.  

Cependant, il ne faut pas croire que ces amis à plumes sont faciles à entretenir. Les oiseaux ne doivent pas être gardés seuls et ont besoin d'une volière spacieuse ainsi que de plusieurs heures de vol libre chaque jour.  
Les inséparables (Agapornis sp.) sont particulièrement attachants. Appartenant à la famille des petits perroquets, ils se distinguent par leur plumage aux couleurs vives et aux motifs marqués. Les couples affichent une forte affection, ce qui a valu à ces oiseaux vifs leur nom.
Les inséparables figurent parmi les oiseaux de compagnie les plus populaires en Allemagne, raison pour laquelle un inséparable jaune aux joues roses orne ce timbre haut en couleur.
Jens a utilisé deux autres timbres identiques (0,15€), émis le 1er août 2024, faisant partie de la série courante intitulée "Welt der Briefe" ("Un monde de lettres", conception : Bettina Walter), initiée en décembre 2021, représentant ici un paon dont la roue est constituée de lettres.
However, don't assume these feathered friends are easy to care for. The birds should not be kept alone and need a spacious aviary as well as several hours of free flight each day.
Lovebirds (Agapornis sp.) are particularly endearing. Belonging to the family of small parrots, they are distinguished by their brightly colored plumage and striking patterns. Pairs display strong affection, which is how these lively birds got their name.
Lovebirds are among the most popular pet birds in Germany, which is why a yellow lovebird with pink cheeks adorns this colorful stamp.
Jens used two other identical stamps (€0.15), issued on August 1, 2024, as part of the current definitive series entitled "Welt der Briefe" ("A World of Letters", design: Bettina Walter), launched in December 2021, depicting here a peacock with a feather's train made of envelopes.  

   

Timbre "80ème anniversaire des Nations Unies" sur lettre de Saint-Marin 

De nombreuses administrations postales (Wallis-et-Futuna, Tunisie, Slovénie, Saint-Marin, Kazakhstan, Moldavie, Nations Unies, Philippines, Namibie, Inde, Émirats Arabes Unis, Belarus, Maroc, Serbie, Monaco, Pérou, Slovaquie, Pakistan, Algérie...) ont émis des timbres en 2025 consacrés au 80ème anniversaire de la création des Nations Unies, reproduisant le logo officiel de cet anniversaire (pour certaines) et parfois son slogan associé, "Construisons notre avenir ensemble". 
Pour rappel, 51 pays ont fondé l'Organisation des Nations Unies en 1945 suite à la ratification de la Charte des Nations Unies à San Francisco le le 24 octobre 1945. 
Le 17 juin 2025, la poste de la République de Saint-Marin a mis en circulation un timbre consacré à ce 80ème anniversaire des Nations Unies ("80° anniversario della fondazione dell’ONU").
Several postal administrations (Wallis & Futuna, Tunisia, Slovenia, San Marino, Kazakhstan, Moldova, the United Nations, the Philippines, Namibia, India, the United Arab Emirates, Belarus, Morocco, Serbia, Monaco, Peru, Slovakia, Pakistan, Algeria, etc.) issued stamps in 2025 commemorating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations.
These stamps reproduced the official anniversary logo (for some) and sometimes its associated slogan, "Building our future together."
As a reminder, 51 countries founded the United Nations in 1945 following the ratification of the UN Charter in San Francisco on October 24, 1945.
On June 17, 2025, the postal administration of the Republic of San Marino put into circulation a stamp dedicated to this 80th anniversary of the United Nations ("80° anniversario della fondazione dell’ONU").  

Ce timbre (1,35€, conception : Paola Momentè, tirage : 15000), imprimé (en France par Cartor Security Printing) en feuillet de 4 timbres, a été utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessus envoyée le 2 avril 2026 depuis Saint-Marin, la capitale. Merci beaucoup Salvatore !
A noter l'application à gauche sur l'enveloppe de la marge de ce feuillet, avec textes en italien et anglais expliquant le rôle des Nations Unies.
Ce timbre, ne comportant pas le logo officiel de ce 80ème anniversaire des Nations Unies, représente une main tenant un rameau d'olivier offert par une colombe, rappelant l'engagement constant de l'ONU en faveur de la promotion de la paix et de la construction d'un monde plus juste et plus uni.
La République de Saint-Marin est membre des Nations Unies depuis le 2 mars 1992.

To note the application to the left on the envelope of the left margin of this sheetlet, with text in Italian and English explaining the role of the United Nations.
This stamp, which does not bear the official logo for this 80th anniversary of the United Nations, depicts a hand holding an olive branch offered by a dove, recalling the UN's ongoing commitment to promoting peace and building a more just and united world.
The Republic of San Marino has been a member of the United Nations since March 2, 1992.  

   

Timbre EUROPA 2026 (70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA) sur FDC du Liechtenstein 

L'année 2026 marque le 70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA, une initiative philatélique lancée pour renforcer les relations entre les pays européens et promouvoir une paix et une unité durables.
Émis pour la première fois en 1956 par six nations – la Belgique, la France, l'Allemagne, l'Italie, le Luxembourg et les Pays-Bas, membres fondateurs de l'Union européenne – ce programme s'est étendu progressivement à 53 organisations postales participantes.
L'an dernier, le groupe de travail Timbres et Philatélie de PostEurop a organisé un concours interne pour choisir un motif commun sur le thème "70ème anniversaire du timbre EUROPA : Unis par...".
Guidés par des valeurs partagées telles que la communication, l'innovation, la coopération et des racines communes, les membres ont soumis 15 propositions créatives, chacune présentant une vision unique. 
Suite au vote de 50 organisations postales, ce concours a été remporté par la poste finlandaise (Posti), devant la poste de Bosnie-Herzégovine (Sarajevo) et la poste luxembourgeoise.
C'est donc le projet de l'artiste et graphiste Klaus Welp qui figure sur les timbres EUROPA émis en 2026. 
The year 2026 marks the 70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps, a philatelic initiative launched to strengthen relations between European countries and promote lasting peace and unity.
First issued in 1956 by six nations – Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, founding members of the European Union – this program has gradually expanded to include 53 participating postal organizations.
Last year, PostEurop's Stamps and Philately Working Group organized an internal competition to choose a common design on the theme "70th Anniversary of the EUROPA Stamp: United by...".
Guided by shared values ​​such as communication, innovation, cooperation, and common roots, the members submitted 15 creative proposals, each presenting a unique vision.
Following a vote by 50 postal organizations, the Finnish Post (Posti) won the competition, ahead of the Post of Bosnia & Herzegovina (Sarajevo) and the Post of Luxembourg.
The design by artist and graphic designer Klaus Welp will therefore be featured on the EUROPA stamps issued in 2026.

Le 2 mars 2026, la poste de la Principauté du Liechtenstein a mis en circulation un seul timbre EUROPA reproduisant le dessin conçu par Klaus Welp.
Ce timbre (1,90 CHF, tirage inconnu), imprimé (par Royal Joh. Enschedé) en feuillet de 4 timbres, a été utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessus avec TAD Premier Jour (conception : Armin Hoop) de Vaduz. Merci beaucoup Jürgen !
Une partie de la marge du bloc-feuillet, avec mention "70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA" (en anglais !), figure à gauche sur cette enveloppe.
Ce timbre EUROPA allie éléments abstraits et symboliques. La ligne pointillée ascendante en diagonale représente à la fois la perforation du timbre et le travail progressif de PostEurop. Les sept points, reliés par une ligne droite, symbolisent soixante-dix ans d'efforts concertés des opérateurs postaux à travers le continent.
Les dégradés et les motifs pointillés en arrière-plan forment une surface harmonieuse et dynamique, reflétant le joyeux mélange de couleurs du drapeau européen et symbolisant l'unité de tous les États membres.
A noter que le Liechtenstein a émis son premier timbre EUROPA en 1960, sans toutefois reproduire le dessin commun (roue de char romain à 19 rayons) choisi cette année-là... 
On March 2, 2026, the Principality of Liechtenstein's postal service issued a single EUROPA stamp reproducing the design by Klaus Welp.
This stamp (CHF 1.90, unknown print run), printed (by Royal Joh. Enschedé) in a minisheet of four, was used on the cover above with First Day cancellation (design: Armin Hoop) from Vaduz. Thank you very much, Jürgen!
Part of the margin of the minisheet, inscribed "70th anniversary of EUROPA Stamps" (in English!), appears on the left side of this envelope. 
This EUROPA stamp combines abstract and symbolic elements. The diagonally ascending dotted line represents both the perforation of a stamp and the progressive work of the PostEurop. The seven dots, connected by a straight line, symbolize seventy years of unified effort by postal operators across the continent.
The blending gradients and dotted patterns in the background form a cohesive and vibrant surface, reflecting the joyful mix of colours from the European flag and symbolizing the unity of all member nations. 
It should be noted that Liechtenstein issued its first EUROPA stamp in 1960, without however reproducing the common design (Roman chariot wheel with 19 spokes) chosen that year...  

   

Hommage au combattant français Jean-Michel Nicolier sur carte de Croatie 

Le 12 janvier 2026, la poste croate, en collaboration avec le ministère de la Défense de la République de Croatie, a mis en circulation une série de 4 cartes postales commémoratives (0,70€, tirage : 6000 chacune) intitulée "Héros de la Guerre Patriotique" ("Heroji domovinskog rata"), distribuées en priorité aux conscrits dès leur arrivée à la caserne, au début de leur formation militaire de base. 
Ces 4 cartes postales (conception : Alenka Lalić) rendent hommage respectivement à Blago et Robert Zadro, Jean-Michel Nicolier, Andrija Matijaš Pauk et Rudolf Perešin.
Un grand merci Dragan pour l'envoi d'une de ces 4 cartes ci-dessous, le 7 avril 2026 depuis Rijeka, consacrée à Jean-Michel Nicolier (1966-1991).
"Vukovar, c'est mon choix, pour le meilleur et pour le pire", déclarait Jean-Michel Nicolier.
Jeune homme, il quitte la France pour la Croatie ravagée par la guerre en septembre 1991 afin de participer à la défense du pays. Membre du HOS (branche paramilitaire du HSP, le Parti croate du droit), il défend Vukovar, où il est blessé. 
On January 12, 2026, the Croatian Post, in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Croatia, put into circulation a series of four commemorative postcards (€0.70, limited edition of 6,000 each) entitled "Heroes of the Patriotic War" ("Heroji domovinskog rata"), distributed primarily to conscripts upon their arrival at the barracks, at the start of their basic military training.
These four postcards (designed by Alenka Lalić) pay tribute to Blago and Robert Zadro, Jean-Michel Nicolier, Andrija Matijaš Pauk, and Rudolf Perešin, respectively.

"Vukovar is my choice, for better or for worse," declared Jean-Michel Nicolier.
As a young man, he left France for war-torn Croatia in September 1991 to participate in the country's defense. A member of the HOS (the paramilitary wing of the HSP, the Croatian Party of Rights), he defended Vukovar, where he was wounded.  

Refusant de quitter la ville avec une équipe de journalistes français, il est transféré de l'hôpital à Ovčara après la chute de Vukovar. Selon les témoignages de survivants, il subit des sévices particuliers de la part de soldats serbes (en particulier de Spasoje Petković, surnommé "Štuka") qui, après l'avoir sauvagement battu, le tuent. Sa dépouille ne sera découverte qu'en 2025 puis inhumée dans le cimetière militaire de Vukovar.
En Croatie, Jean-Michel Nicolier est devenu un symbole de la guerre d'indépendance croate et de la bataille de Vukovar. 
On trouve de nombreux graffitis en son honneur dans toute le pays et la phrase "né Français, mort Croate" est très utilisée pour parler de ce héros national. Il est décoré en 2011 à titre posthume par le président Ivo Josipović.
En septembre 2014, le pont de l'Amitié, un pont sur la rivière Vuka, est renommé "pont Jean-Michel Nicolier", un buste (reproduit à gauche sur cette carte) et une plaque commémorative ont été érigés à l'entrée du pont.
Dragan a utilisé un timbre de complément (7,60 HRK, environ 1€) faisant partie d'une jolie série (4 timbres, conception : Orsat Franković) émise le 20 octobre 2014, consacrée au patrimoine ethnographique croate, en particulier une pièce de broderie de la région de Gorski Kotar ici.
Refusing to leave the city with a team of French journalists, he was transferred from the hospital to Ovčara after the fall of Vukovar. According to survivor accounts, he suffered particularly brutal treatment at the hands of Serbian soldiers (especially Spasoje Petković, nicknamed "Štuka") who, after savagely beating him, killed him. His remains were not discovered until 2025 and were later buried in the Vukovar military cemetery.
In Croatia, Jean-Michel Nicolier has become a symbol of the Croatian War of Independence and the Battle of Vukovar.
Numerous graffiti in his honor can be found throughout the country, and the phrase "born French, died Croatian" is frequently used to refer to this national hero. He was posthumously decorated in 2011 by President Ivo Josipović.
In September 2014, the Friendship Bridge, a bridge over the Vuka River, was renamed the "Jean-Michel Nicolier Bridge." A bust (reproduced on the left on this postcard) and a commemorative plaque were erected at the bridge's entrance.
Dragan used a supplementary stamp (7.60 HRK, approximately €1.00) from a lovely series (4 stamps, designed by Orsat Franković) issued on October 20, 2014, dedicated to Croatian ethnographic heritage, specifically a piece of embroidery from the Gorski Kotar region here.  

   

Série "Jeux olympiques de Milano Cortina 2026" sur lettre de Slovénie 

A Milan et Cortina d'Ampezzo (Italie), pour sa 10ème participation à des jeux olympiques d'hiver (depuis Albertville en 1992), la délégation slovène était composée de 37 athlètes (19 hommes, 18 femmes), engagés dans 6 sports (ski alpin, biathlon, ski de fond, combiné nordique, saut à ski et snowboard), comme à Beijing en 2022.
La Slovénie a remporté 4 médailles (2 or, 1 argent, 1 bronze) soit l'un des meilleurs résultats de son histoire, après les 8 médailles remportées lors des jeux de Sotchi en 2014 et les 7 médailles à Beijing en 2022.
Le 30 janvier 2026, la poste slovène a mis en circulation une jolie série (2 timbres) consacrée à ces 25èmes jeux olympiques d'hiver de Milano Cortina, organisés du 6 au 22 février 2026.
Ces 2 timbres (conception : Svetlana Milijaševič), imprimés dans un même feuillet composé de 6 timbres (3 de chaque) + 3 vignettes centrales ("Milano Cortinan 2026", logo du comité olympique slovène), figurent sur la lettre ci-dessous envoyée le 10 février 2029 depuis la ville de Kranj. In Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo (Italy), for its 10th participation in the Winter Olympic Games (since Albertville in 1992), the Slovenian delegation comprised 37 athletes (19 men, 18 women) competing in 6 sports (alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, Nordic combined, ski jumping, and snowboarding), as in Beijing in 2022.
Slovenia won 4 medals (2 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze), one of its best results ever, following the 8 medals won at the Sochi Games in 2014 and the 7 medals in Beijing in 2022.
On January 30, 2026, the Slovenian Post put into circulation a beautiful series (2 stamps) commemorating the 25th Milano Cortina Winter Olympic Games, held from February 6 to 22, 2026. These two stamps (designed by Svetlana Milijaševič), printed in a single sheet of six stamps (three of each) + three central labels ("Milano Cortinan 2026," logo of the Slovenian Olympic Committee), have been used on the cover below, sent on February 10, 2029, from the city of Kranj. Thank you so much, Petra! 

Ces 2 timbres représentent respectivement des épreuves de ski alpin (tarif "C" pour un envoi standard international - 1,96€ actuellement, tirage : 23000) et de saut à ski (tarif "D" pour un envoi ordinaire international 1ère classe - 2,21€ actuellement, tirage : 30000), les deux sports dans lesquels les athlètes slovènes ont remporté le plus de médailles depuis 1992 (19 médailles sur un total de 28).
Aucune médaille remportée en ski alpin lors de ces jeux de Milano Cortina 2026 mais les 4 médailles slovènes ont toutes été remportées dans des épreuves de saut à ski : or en équipe mixte (Nika Vodan, Nika Prevc, Anže Lanišek, Domen Prevc), or en grand tremplin hommes (Domen Prevc), argent en tremplin normal femmes (Nika Prevc) et bronze en grand tremplin femmes (Nika Prevc).
Les frères et sœurs Nika Prevc et Domen Prevc, héros slovènes de ces jeux, déjà champions du monde à Trondheim en 2025, figuraient sur des timbres émis en leur honneur le 26 septembre 2025. 
Je ne sais pas si la poste slovène va émettre prochainement (comme elle l'a fait pour les jeux précédents) des timbres honorant les champions olympiques à Milano Cortina 2026...  
These two stamps respectively depict alpine skiing (rate "C" for standard international mail - currently €1.96, print run: 23,000) and ski jumping (rate "D" for ordinary international first-class mail - currently €2.21, print run: 30,000), the two sports in which Slovenian athletes have won the most medals since 1992 (19 medals out of a total of 28).
No medals were won in alpine skiing at the Milano Cortina 2026 Games, but all four Slovenian medals have been won in ski jumping events: gold in the mixed team event (Nika Vodan, Nika Prevc, Anže Lanišek, Domen Prevc), gold in the men's large hill (Domen Prevc), silver in the women's normal hill (Nika Prevc), and bronze in the women's large hill (Nika Prevc).
The siblings Nika Prevc and Domen Prevc, Slovenian heroes of these Games and already world champions in Trondheim in 2025, were featured on stamps issued in their honor on September 26, 2025.
I don't know if the Slovenian Post will soon issue (as it did for previous Games) stamps honoring the Olympic champions in Milano Cortina 2026...
