Did you know that our acrylic paints are 20% off this month? Our acrylic paints are artist quality, non-toxic, fast drying pigment paint. You can apply it to any surface and leaves a vibrant smooth, matte finish. I used the paint for the background for this card.
Today’s card features the Dance Life Stamp Set. It’s a wedding card for my nephew and his bride to be.
I wanted to keep is really simple and a non-traditional wedding card.
To create the border, I used post-it notes at the 1/4″ mark on two sides/edges of the Whip Cream Card Stock. Then I lightly sponged the paint with darker on the bottom right going lighter as I sponged towards the upper left.
I stamped the image with Black Licorice Ink after it had been sponged. Added Cool Pool Silk for a little interest.
For today’s card I used the cute, cute Eyes on You Stamp Set from the Journey Holidays Trends Mini. During Holiday FSJ Live Event, the ladies were talking about naming these 3 cute images and someone suggested the 3 Stoogies. So it’s Moe, Larry & Curly! I used the tall image in this post and decided to use the one eye monster for this post.
Because I was using the “I’ve Got My Eyes on You” sentiment, I crossed out the “s” in eyes because it has only one eye! (LOL)
The background was embossed using the retired Spooky Bold Embossing Folder. I then added sponged the Lavender color from the Confectionary Days PanPastels using a Fusion Ink Sponge. Did you know that the panpastels are on sale this month with Fun Stampers Journey. It’s a great deal at 20% off the retail price and it’s a good way to try out the panpastels to see if you like them. If you are not familiar with panpastels, they are a dry color application that applies like fluid paint. Their concentrated pigment stays true to color even when exposed to light and are fully erasable.
The image was stamped with Black Licorice on Whip Cream Card Stock and colored in using the Electric Lime, Lavender Fusion, and Citrus Cooler Reinkers for the body. Blend the reinkers with Fusion Blender before applying with one of our Blending Brushes.
Before adding the image (fussy cut with our Details Pro Shears), I added the Citrus Cooler and Electric Lime Silks to give the background a little interested.
Today’s card was inspired by a one made by Laura Williams, Fun Stampers Journey Concept Designer. I did change a couple of things to make it my own, i.e., made it darker and used Pomegranate Splash instead of Oatmeal Cookie for one of the backgrounds., changed the ribbon and used Cranberry Bliss Silk instead of Gold Silk.
The leaves are from a retired FSJ accessory (retired last year but I can’t remember the name of it.)
I used a retired tool (from another company) that made your card stock corrugated but I can’t remember the name of it. It is hard to see the details in the photograph.
