Happy Saturday everyone! I wanted to let each of you know that I will no longer be posting to this Create x3 blog. We are trying to consolidate all of the Memory Box DT blogs into one blog. So we will all be posting from the same blog--the Outside the Box blog. All of my future creations, tips, etc., will be posted there. So, if you subscribe to this blog and want to continue to see my Memory Box creations and the other DT creations, please come on over and subscribe to the Outside the Box blog. The subscriptions are run through FeedBurner, and you can find the subscription box on the right-hand side of the Outside the Box blog. As far as all of my creations here, you will still be able to access all of the older posts. There just will not be any new posts made to this blog.
I do have my first post on the new blog today. It's a layout of one of our Papillons. I hope you will come over and check it out and sign up for the blog updates. Here is a sneak of my layout, and you can see the entire post by clicking here.
I hope you will continue to join me but just in a new way. Thanks, and have a blessed weekend!
The other day, I caught our precious Scout sitting in my daughter's windowsill. Two of our dogs LOVE to sit there. Well, he looked so cute that I couldn't pass up this scrapping opportunity.
Memory Box Papers: Valise Bill of Sale and Keepsake, distressed dots mango and pool cs Memory Box Dies: Large Typewriter uppercase alpha, Large Typewriter lowercase alpha, Typewriter lowercase alpha
Paints: Jenni Bowlin stick candy and chicken feed paint dabber, Adirondack pool paint dabber Embellishments: Blue Fern Studios Valentine Word set chipboard and Icon Set One both painted with Tim Holtz picket fence distress crackle paint and inked with Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink, leaves by Wild Orchid Crafts, Prima Corine and Soubrette E flowers, Snap! Life bingo cards stripe, sewing machine
To create the background of my 8x8 page, I splattered 3 different paints onto the white cardstock before layering all of my papers and Scout's photo. The Memory Box papers I used are Valise Bill of Sale, Valise Keepsake, distressed dots mango cardstock, and distressed dots pool cardstock. I then die cut all of the letters out of the mango and pool cardstock and adhered them to the page. The letters were cut from these Memory Box dies: Large Typewriter uppercase alpha, Large Typewriter lowercase alpha, Typewriter lowercase alpha.
Once the letters were on the page, I then sewed through them with my sewing machine for a fun look. And to finish, I added all of my embellishments and my journaling written on the pool cardstock also.
So, if you don't have any of the Memory Box alphabet dies yet, you really should pick up a few. They are SO versatile, and I especially love how the new large alphabets work so well with the smaller alphas. They both work great on cards and layouts too! Thanks for joining me today!
In December, my daughters and I played for a "Young at Heart" Luncheon at our new church. We had various solos, duets, etc. I loved this photo of my daughter and I playing a duet together. I knew that the Memory Box Evergreen Bough 12x12 paper would be perfect for scrapping this special day. So, I cut the paper down to 8x8 and got started.
Memory Box Papers: Mistletoe Evergreen Bough, holly berry cs, licorice cs, and dill cs Memory Box Dies: Virtuoso Music, Large Typewriter Number set, Large Typewriter lowercase alpha Embellishments: Blue Fern Studios Ornate Medallion chipboard painted with Jenni Bowlin fountain pen paint dabber and Tim Holtz picket fence distress Stickles, Melissa Frances Applique scrolls, The Crafter's Workshop Mini Fence Frame with Liquitex light modeling paste and Golden Chromium Oxide Green open acrylic, misc. sheet music, May Arts twine, Prima Corine flowers, misc. white flower, Elle's Studio journaling tag, sewing machine
First I distressed the edges of the paper and used my sewing machine to sew around the edges. I then adhered it to a piece of Memory Box dill paper. Next to continue the green from the bottom right corner of the paper, I added some Liquitex light modeling paste and Golden open acrylic paint on the upper left side of the paper. Once that was dry, I began layering my journaling card, photo, flowers, sheet music, and other embellishments.
I also used several of the new Memory Box dies for the title and added embellishments. I used the Memory Box Large Typewriter Number set for the number '2' (cut out of Memory Box licorice paper), the Memory Box Large Typewriter Lowercase alpha for the title (cut out of Memory Box holly berry paper), and then the Memory Box Virtuoso Music die (cut out of Memory Box dill paper) for more embellishment. These new dies are perfect for scrapbooking!
I hope you have enjoyed seeing a scrapbook page today. I hope to be sharing more. I have been away from it too long but now that the move is over, I am hoping to scrap away. Will be back soon with another post. Blessings,
Today I wanted to share a card using new Memory Box stamps and dies. The new products I used on this card was first the Memory Box Intricate Heart stamp {F1902}. I stamped it onto a piece of Memory Box distressed key lime cardstock. I liked the look of the stamp on top of the distressed dots. I then used the new Memory Box Large Typewriter LC alpha and the Memory Box Precious Hearts dies. I cut them all out of cork to give it a different look. I love using cork with these dies!
Papers: Memory Box Pixie, Memory Box distressed key lime cs, Memory Box granny smith nc Stamps: Memory Box Intricate Heart F1902
Stamp Ink: SU old olive, Prima old road
Memory Box Dies: Large Typewriter LC alpha, Precious Hearts
Embellishments: Divine Twine, doily from Hobby Lobby, misc. cork, sewing machine
To put this card together, it was just a matter of stamping, die cutting, and layering. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope this card inspires you in some way! Blessings,

It has been raining here since Sunday night, and we haven't seen the sun. Unusual for here (I think since I haven't lived through a winter here yet). LOL! Anyway, to bring a little sunshine "in," I decided to share this colorful card with you today. This card uses 8 1/2 x 11 Memory Box paper along with two of the newest Poppystamps dies.
Memory Box Papers: licorice dot, licorice gingham, distressed key lime, violet dot, mango dot, and licorice cs
Dies: Poppystamps Cecilia Flower, Poppystamps Cecilia Flower Outline
Embellishments: Tim Holtz mini paper clip, Creative Café buttons, Prima printed twill, May Arts black twine, misc. ticket, sewing machine
The Memory Box paper I used to cut out the flowers are: distressed key lime, violet dot, and mango dot. To outline the flowers, I used the Memory Box licorice dot paper. The flower dies are the Poppystamps Cecilia Flower and Poppystamps Cecilia Flower Outline dies. Aren't they wonderful?
Once I die cut all of the flowers and adhered the outline to each flower, I just layered them on my card, and added some buttons, twine, and ribbon to finish. Thanks for joining me today!
