Many find taking communion daily or even once in the morning and once at night a valuable way to draw closer to Our Creator and Our Savior Jeshua. It is also essential to put on The Full Armor of God each and every day and before you go to sleep each night.
Here I share my twice daily devotional. You may wish to do it once, and work up to twice and do it more when you feel under stress or attack.
The Full Armor of God
While there are many videos about the Full Armor of God, I find this one created for children to be the most clear and concise. [If you prefer another short video for this, please share the link in the comments. Thank you.]
Here are the verses from the King James Version to Put on the Whole Armor of God:
Ephesians 6:10-18King James Version (KJV)
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Daily Communion
Develop your own daily communion practice or you can use mine:
First cover your head.
Hold up the bread and say:
Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, who brings forth bread from the earth.
Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, who brings forth the living bread from heaven.
Break the bread
Jesus said, “Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.”
Eat the bread
Pour wine into a glass or goblet
Jeshua said, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser…I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:1,5
Hold up the wine goblet and say:
Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, Creator of the fruit of the vine.
Jeshua said, “This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.”
Drink the wine
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
How Jeshua Instructed Us to Pray
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one and all his evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Mark 11:25-26 “And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your father who is in heaven forgive.”
