Motto for 2019: Do It! and more...

Motto for 2019: Do It!

Dale and I traveled over 30,000 miles spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ in 2018.  We saw more decisions made for Him than in all the years of ministry combined! I thought I would share a few highlights from our year!

………….

In August 2017, we asked the Lord to send us to Israel to minister in August 2018 with no known open doors or strong connections.  The desire burned in our hearts.  In July 2018, I was asked to speak at a retreat in ISRAEL. The date? August 31, 2018.  Apparently, it was God’s idea all along! We ministered throughout Israel wherein 2% are Christians, 18% Muslims, 75% Jews, 5% other or no religious affiliation.  This beautiful place where Jesus was born, led His ministry, died and rose again- is surrounded by enemies- inside and out.  Israel desperately needs our prayers and patronage.  We desire to go back- soon!

Jerusalem

Katie Graves-the event leader who invited me to speak in Galilee. Many open doors followed our retreat that we are eternally grateful for and can’t wait to see what God does next.

We had the honor of ministering in the Dominican Republic to evangelists who tirelessly preach the gospel to the poor.  Pastor Sebero Cordero, pastors five churches and has a full time job! Pray for him and all who labor faithfully.

Dale and I went to Billy Graham’s viewing at the Capital in February. We asked God to give us passion and zeal for evangelism like Graham.  Revival zeal overcame us. We’ll never be the same!

We were able to minister throughout the United States including;  Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, MD, Virginia, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Ohio, Alabama, Georgia, and PA… And oh the testimonies, I wish I could tell them all! At one of the retreats where I spoke- I arrived terribly ill.  At the moment I started to speak I became all well!  It was obvious that Satan was trying to prevent me from delivering God’s word to this specific crowd.  But, at the end of the day- God always wins!  That event produced more decisions for Christ than any other event all year.

At one conference, a l o n g line of people waited for me to pray with them. At the end, I was starving and went to look for food. The only thing I saw was the bar.  So, I headed right for it hoping that just maybe they would have food.  Two ladies screamed when they saw me!

They were drinking and one of them said, “We were just in your conference and my friend here said she wanted you pray for her, but she didn’t want to wait in the long line. She’s in desperate shape. I just told her one second before you walked up, ‘watch Sharon appear right here, and pray for you.’ And you appeared!” The woman was stunned and started to cry.  We prayed.  Jesus took over the bar!

We believe that the reason we saw more decisions made this year is because we had our first ever prayer team interceding for every event.  Five ladies were on their knees before events praying for the lost and for the faithless to become faithful! Revival ignited in many of the events we spoke at.  God always receives all of the glory and breaks chains when we come before Him in prayer!

On the home front, our farm ministered to thousands!  Many wonderful couples got married here.

The Lord sends all kinds of people for tours for their upcoming wedding. Muslims, Atheists, Christians, Wiccans, Jews… They don’t all book but His purposes are fulfilled. Recently a Muslim couple toured. As soon as they walked in the door I knew God sent them for ministry, not their wedding.  It was a glorious time.  At the end of the tour I told them that God sent them to us.  I prayed for them in Jesus’ Name.  They cried.  We hugged and they left.  They heard the gospel.  Perhaps for the first time?  The seed was planted. Many seeds are planted.  Some watered.  And others, are HARVESTED right here on the farm.

We hosted two Grieving Children’s camp days for Capital Caring.  Trained counselors came to help children who’ve experienced unimaginable trauma. Some have witnessed murders and tragic death of loved ones. These children need healing and a day on our farm helps facilitate it in a safe environment.

We hosted a fundraiser for Fredericksburg’s  Choice’s Women’s  Clinic. They help pregnant women make wise decisions for their unborn babies and give free ultrasounds.  They provide full emotional, physical and spiritual support to the moms.

We ministered to Military Wives through worship, speaking, and food.

Our first baptisms in the barn! It was the highlight of the year!

Our goal is to help fulfill the great commission by ministering all over the world- One way is to support others with the same mission. We are reaching Guatemala through our dear friends Phil and Patti Monk who care for orphans there with Hope of Life, International. Most recent trip to USA, they stopped to see us!

We continue to pray and support Israel. One of the best ways to bless Israel with Jesus is through the Messianic-Jewish ministry- One for Israel.  Many lost Jewish people are hearing the gospel for the first time as a result of their constant testimony sharing.

2018 was my 18th year with Proverbs 31Ministries!  We go into all the world with the gospel through written word, radio, conferences, social media.

We are reaching Japan through missionaries Barbara and Mike Gray with TEAM.

We are reaching the lost in Bangladesh through missionaries Jipu Barikdar with CRU.

We are reaching the unreached of Papua New Guinea through Jason and Laken Cizdziel with Ethnos 360.

We are reaching the Middle East through  MAPS.

And Middle East through our missionary and friend, Ronnette.

We are praying and supporting Brussels House of Prayer.  Roger and Rachel Verheul lead it. May revival sweep across Europe!

We’re so excited about all God did in 2018 and all He has in store for 2019! I know you are too! What dreams has God put on your heart this year?

What are your plans to go into all the world and preach the gospel?  That’s what Jesus is looking for on our to-do lists for 2019!

Maybe you’ve dreamed of hosting a retreat.  Do it!  Don’t let anything stop you.  I’ll be your speaker if you want!

Have you dreamed of doing a Bible Study in your home?  Do it!  Invite your neighbors and those who don’t know Jesus- yet. Will it be hard? Maybe. But, if God called you to it, it doesn’t matter if its hard.  Just do it!

Maybe you want to be speaker and need to learn the ropes?  Go to She Speaks Conference this year!  I’ll be there to cheer you on. Do it!  Has God called you to be a missionary?  Do it!  Maybe its to Africa…  Maybe it’s to your local high schools… Go! Does it seem impossible?  God is WITH YOU!

God is robbed of Glory when we don’t go after the impossible.

So, what’s He asking you today?

Whatever He says to you, DO IT!  That’s what Jesus’ mother said to the servants at the wedding in Cana when the wine ran out (John 2).  Mary said, “Whatever He says- Do it.”  They DID IT, and Jesus’ first MIRACLE is recorded.

Is Jesus asking you to do something that seems impossible? DO IT! He will provide all you need!  He promises!

One of my God dreams is to get a book written this year. Please pray for me that I DO IT.  Every day brings new kingdom work and there’s really not enough time to do it all.  Pray that we’ll be able to employ our assistant- full time.  There is so much that needs to be done- and we can’t do it alone.

Another big thing that happened with us this year is that on December 3 we became an official non-profit ministry.  Sharon Glasgow Ministries is now official!

Please pray that God will use us to usher many into His kingdom this year, through writing, speaking, ministering and art (Dale is an evangelist through art). Thank you!

Would you like me to come speak at your event?  I would love to be a part of what God is doing in your city!

What’s God asking you to do? Do it!

The Love Affair that Changed Our Marriage

I’ve actually never confessed this to my husband.

I was so concerned that he would have an affair- that I contrived to have one myself!

It all started many years ago… Several of my friends found out that their husbands were having affairs. My heart broke as I saw each family devastated. I got paranoid about my own husband. Paranoia consumed me until finally I asked the Lord what I should do.

Instantly thoughts flooded my mind. What is it that men want in an affair? Ahh yes, I see…

They want “that woman” who adores him, listens to his every dream, wants to hear his every thought, cherishes him as none other, dresses to impress him, has fun flirting and playing with him, spends every spare moment with him… Who wouldn’t want that?!

Lord, help me to be “that woman.”

Determination set in. I will be “that woman.” I will! We will have the love affair of all love affairs!

There will no need unmet.

It all started like that.

I threw away all my frumpy clothes and started to dress pretty, every day. He loved the feminine look of dresses and my hair down. For many years I mowed 5 acres of grass in a dress. Yes I did!

When he came home from work, I no longer complained about how hard my day was—even though it took every ounce of everything in me to keep my mouth closed. I grabbed him and kissed him like I hadn’t seen him in months.

We ate dinner together, every night. If he was 3 hours late, the kids and I waited and waited. He would say, ” You guys should have eaten without me?”  No phones were on the table, no answering calls, no computer open, no television on… just listening to each other over dinner.

We went to bed at the same time, whether it was 11PM or 4AM. I stayed with him. If he was working on the computer, I got mine and worked next to him. If he wanted to watch a movie, I sat next to him and watched it too, alright… I fell asleep!

If he went to the hardware store or anywhere- we loaded all 5 kids into the vehicle and away we went, together, no matter what time, how cold or hot it was outside.

His friends were my friends and my friends were his. His bank account was my bank account. His vacation was my vacation.  We never went on separate excursions. We lived as one, because we vowed on our wedding day- that we, though two, would become one flesh.

I cherished and adored him. It was the love affair of all love affairs- and still is.

That was many years ago. You know what? That love affair changed our marriage! I actually enjoyed all the changes. Don’t get me wrong, our marriage has taken a lot of hard work. But it’s worth it all! I would encourage you to ask God for His help with your marriage and to have the love affair of all love affairs- with your husband.  Sometimes the love story doesn’t end like mine. Satan wants nothing more than to destroy marriage and families. Beloved friends, Let’s fight for our marriages!

Would you like me to pray for you? Leave your name and I’ll pray for you!

The Glasgow Farm

If you’re visiting me from Proverbs 31’s Encouragement for Today devotion, Marriage is Hard Work– Welcome! Just thought I would introduce you to a few of the characters from the devotion.

Angel and her  babies born last month. In three months they will be weened and we’ll enjoy a gallon of raw milk a day from her. We’ll make curds and whey, cheese, ice cream, soap and lots of yummy and healthy goodies.

Misty is standing on the milking stand. She wants babies so bad, but isn’t able to get pregnant. Yet for the third year in a row produces milk at the exact time as our other doe who delivers twins! It’s a phenomena!

Organic Produce. The green leaves are dried stinging nettle. In the green bowl are stinging nettle roots.

We’ve got mulberry trees! I make mulberry ice-cream, pancakes, jam, syrup...

The chickens are supposed to lay eggs in the coop, sometimes its front door delivery!Benefits of free-range eggs!

Yep, snakes climb right in there. You have to watch out for them when you go to get the eggs!

Snake eating our breakfast in the chicken coop! How dare he! He was escorted out!

Mr. Turkey looking through the window to see what our plans are for the mulberry remnants.

Rooster takes good care of the girls and waking us up every morning.

Our border collie, Sparky chases foxes away, protects the chickens, rounds up  goats, alerts us if snakes are in the vicinity, chases ground hogs, possums, skunks, coyote’s…

I mow 5 acres of grass and weeds every week.  I ran over an extension cord and had to untangle it from the blade. It wasn’t fun, but a Proverbs 31 woman is capable!

One of the few plants in our garden ground hogs don’t like! Organic tomatoes fried green tomatoes are yummy!

It’s unbelievable how much work goes into a small farm, but just like a good marriage-the benefits are worth it!

The winner of our last drawing is- Laura Wright Smith! Email me your address!

The Honeymoon Life

Neil and Michele McQuire married in our barn 2 months ago. If you’re joining me from Proverbs 31 devotions, welcome!

We live on a farm and have weddings in our barn, every weekend!  Marriage, love, weddings and honeymoon conversations are our life!

True love  on a wedding day  is breathtaking, but what’s more breathtaking-is true love after babies, sleepless nights and hard days turned into years.

Many couples struggle to keep their marriage aflame. Many wives tell me they have no interest in lovemaking, that romance isn’t alive in their marriage anymore. I say to them this, don’t allow that mindset for one second. We don’t want our spouse to look for other things to fulfill what only should be fulfilled by us.

It wasn’t always easy for me either, trust me. I struggled when our children were small and demands were constant.  But one day–everything changed. My mindset shifted. It was the day I decided to live The Honeymoon Life, it transformed our marriage.

It all started when this woman  told me the tragic end to her love story.  When she and her husband married, they couldn’t afford a honeymoon. Kids came and the money to do something special together just never seemed to be there. Her husband worked all the time, so for years she dreamed and planned for the trip she longed for with him—the perfect honeymoon.

When their last child was leaving for college, they finally set up their honeymoon trip. But something awful happened right before they were ready to leave. Her husband was tragically killed in a car accident. Her dreams were shattered.

With a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes, I stood by her feeling helpless to offer the right words. All I could say was, “I’m so sorry.”

Her story affected me deeply. Although my husband was still alive, I didn’t have the honeymoon of my dreams either. My heart sank as she told me the tragic end to her love story.

I didn’t want to pin my hopes on a fancy trip any more.

On that day I decided to live every day as if it were my honeymoon. Rather than a honeymoon trip, I wanted The Honeymoon Life.

I looked for ways to turn ordinary places into exotic destinations. I decided that lovemaking would be relished and not just endured.

We live on a farm with open fields and woods. The possibilities became endless for exotic destinations.

No trip around the world, no lavish hotel, nor any gourmet dish could have competed with that field, the picnic dinners and the way God changed my perspective.

From that day on, I chose the honeymoon life. Not just dreaming of it but living it every day. I’ve set my heart to cherish the simple things, like making my husband’s favorite foods and eating ALL meals together, going to bed at the same time, reading and praying together. Even mundane trips to the store together.

We’ve been living the honeymoon life for 21 years now and have been married for 36. Everything changed the day I made up my mind to live The Honeymoon Life. Last week at one of our weddings a couple saw us running in the rain together with arms locked. When we got to the barn they said, “You two look like you’re the newly weds!” Funny thing is, we feel that we are!

Ask God to help rekindle passion in your marriage, ask Him to help you have desire. Ask Him to take all hindrances away. Once you decide to change your mindset and start making plans for your adventures- desire will come, and The Honeymoon Life will begin.

My husband and I are officially going on our first honeymoon trip to Europe this August!

NO Disease Can Exist in An Alkaline Environment

otto warburg

Giving away a book and alkaline tester at bottom of post!

Dr. Otto Warburg the 1931 Nobel Prize winner for cancer discovery, stated “NO disease, including cancer, can exist in an alkaline environment.” So, if this is true, I asked MYSELF, am I alkaline or acid? That was my question! I eat healthy foods. So, I bought an alkaline strip test kit, to find out.

I was shocked to find that Dale and myself were ACID!

I started to research  what we needed to do, to create an environment in which diseased cells, viruses, bacteria and fungi are UNABLE to thrive.

We all need a pH level of around 7.4 on the scale from 1 to 14, with 1 being acidic and 14 being alkaline. At this level, we’re able to function more effectively and fight off potential chronic diseases.

Ordered on Amazon and was at my door in two days

pH Alkaline Test Kits: Order online or get from your local health food store.

You can test your pH with your saliva or urine. The urine provides a more accurate reading, especially the “first morning urine test.”

Urine pH Zone: 4.5-6.0
•Health Condition: severe acidosis zone
Degenerative chronic diseases thrive in this zone

Urine pH Zone: 6.0-6.5
•Health Condition: moderate acidosis zone
•You have risk of contracting degenerative chronic diseases

Urine pH Zone: 6.5-7.5
•Health Condition: optimal healthy zone
•Optimum of a healthy person

Urine pH Zone: 7.5-9.0
•Health Condition: unhealthy alkalosis zone
This is just as serious at highly acid. Not healthy!

When our pH levels are consistently below 7.4, our system becomes acidic (Acidosis) and forces our body to extract essential vitamins and minerals such as calcium, potassium, magnesium and sodium from vital organs, bones and teeth in order to neutralize the effect of the Acidosis.

Acidosis weakens our body systems and creates the perfect recipe for chronic diseases like cancer, arthritis, diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis, premature aging. . .Add stress and lack of exercise in there and its havoc to our body.

I found Alkaline forming charts that show what foods are alkaline and which are acid forming. It’s slightly confusing because every chart you find is a little different.

I printed a couple different charts, made a grocery list of alkaline items and headed to the store.

My plan was for us to eat  75% alkaline forming foods and 25% acid forming for 40 days.

I stopped drinking my beloved, coffee and  started drinking green tea(matcha) lattes in the morning (made with raw goat milk and raw honey).

I read somewhere that the average person can become alkaline in 3 weeks. Proudly, I boasted  to myself, we’ll conquer this in a week. It didn’t happen!  So, I took out the 25% acid forming foods for a week. We became alkaline. After that, we continued the 75%/25%  vow to health. When the 40 days were over we felt GREAT!

We’re INTENSELY  busy! I’ve traveled to 6 speaking events in 10 weeks and had a wedding on our farm EVERY weekend. Do I have time to eat like this?? You betcha! I’ve got more energy and no pain, living  alkaline!

Here’s a sampling of what we’ve been eating:  (I use all organic ingredients) :

Alkaline Pumpkin Muffins are great milk boosters for lactating moms!

Organic Alkaline Pumpkin Muffins                    Makes a dozen

2 1/4 cups old fashioned oats (rolled)

1 cup pumpkin puree

1/4 cup, plus 2 tablespoons Sucanat

1/4 cup molasses

2 eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla

4 tablespoons clarified butter (melted)

1/4 cup raw milk or coconut milk

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Optional-Toasted pumpkins seeds on top

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Grease or line 12 muffin pans
  3. Mix all ingredients
  4. Fill muffin pans 3/4 full
  5. Bake 20 mins, or until done
  6. Cool

Now that we are alkaline, I add walnuts to this recipe. Walnuts are acid forming. They’re a healthy nut as long as you’re not acid.

IMG_4076 (1)

Pumpkin muffins with toasted pumpkin seeds baked on top! These were from pumpkins we kept in storage over winter. Two cups of pumpkin come out of a small pie pumpkin.

I usually double the batch and freeze one. These are excellent  to take on trips for snacks or breakfast! I’ve used banana  or butternut squash in exchange for pumpkin.

Almond Butter Balls

Almond Butter Balls                Makes a dozen

1/2 cup chopped dates

1/2 cup chopped raisons

1 cup chopped roasted *chestnuts

1/4 cup molasses

1 cup almond butter

1 to 2 tablespoons orange juice (I use fresh)

1/2 cup shredded coconut

*Chopped walnuts taste MUCH better than chestnuts in this recipe, however, walnuts are acid forming. Once you’re alkaline it’s ok to use walnuts instead of chestnuts. When you’re working hard to get alkaline use chestnuts. Order organic roasted chestnuts through Amazon, they’ll be at your door in two days!

  1. Using a wet knife or scissors cut dates and raisons into small pieces
  2. Chop walnuts
  3. Mix everything EXCEPT COCONUT together
  4. Roll into balls, then roll balls into coconut to coat
  5. Store in airtight container. Flavor is enhanced after a day. Store in refrigerator

After 10 days on a alkaline diet Dale nor myself could reach above  5.5  until the day we had this soup! Yeah. Throw the highest alkaline foods into one pot, cook and eat it. We hit 7 by the next morning!

Alkaline Soup with almond flour bread and an alkaline salad

Alkaline Soup with almond flour bread and an alkaline salad

Alkaline Soup  This will boost you into alkalinity!

1 cup dry lentils ( I use sprouted lentils- you don’t have to)

1 extra large sweet potato or 2 medium (peeled and diced)

4 large collard green or kale leaves (chopped &center vein removed)

2 carrots- diced

1 red bell pepper- diced

4 cloves of garlic- minced

1 onion- diced

2 cups vegetable stock or mineral water

2 tbsp coconut oil or clarified butter (depends on your taste preference)

1 teaspoon sea salt

1 avocado

2 tbsp chopped dill

1 handful of cashews (roughly chopped)

Add all ingredients except for avocado, dill and cashews into a pot. Cook for 40 minutes on medium until done. Take off stove and puree in a blender. Add sliced avocado, dill and cashews to top.

You don’t have to puree the soup. It’s good not pureed as well and you won’t have to wash the blender. If you’re making it for someone who is ill or has a sluggish digestive system pureeing it helps reduce the work load on the digestive tract.

Serve with fresh sliced pear or apple.

Now that we are alkaline, I’ve been using bone broth instead of vegetable stock.

Butternut Squash and Brussel Sprouts with salad and Japonica Rice

Butternut Squash and Brussel Sprouts with salad and Japonica Rice

Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Butternut Squash and Pomegranate Seeds

1 large butternut squash

2 pounds Brussel sprouts

2 large red onions, quartered

1/2 cup clarified butter or olive oil

1 tsp sea salt

1 cup pomegranate seeds

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Put whole Butternut squash in oven and bake for 20 mins. Take out of oven and peel and de-seed squash, then chop into bite size pieces.
  3. Trim bottoms of Brussel sprouts, cut in half if you want or leave whole.
  4. Quarter onions
  5. In large bowl add squash, Brussel sprouts and onion. Drizzle oil over vegetables and stir.
  6. Pour onto a large baking dish. If you don’t have a large one, pour on two baking sheets. You want breathing room around the vegetables so they are roasted on all sides. If you dump them in and there’s no room it won’t taste roasted.
  7. Roast for 35 mins on 400 or until browned and cooked through. Add the pomegranate seeds when out of oven, stir and serve! YUM!
  8. Add chopped spinach, kale or collard greens for extra alkalinity before you bake it.
  9. I served this with Japonica Rice (its alkaline!), salad and a small piece of baked chicken.
Oatmeal

Oatmeal Porridge with fruit and raw goat milk (raw goat milk is slightly alkaline, pasteurized is acid. Raw cow milk is slightly acid forming)

Oatmeal Porridge

1 1/2 cups rolled oatmeal

3 cups water

3 tablespoons clarified butter (not alkaline or acid- neutral)

1 tablespoon molasses

Optional: raw goat milk

In pot add oats, water, butter and molasses. Cook on medium until water is mostly absorbed and oatmeal is creamy.

Pour into bowls. Serve with optional fruit  and raw  goat milk.

Optional:

dates

mulberries

bananas

strawberries

apples

Sprinkle soaked and roasted sunflower seeds to top. Enjoy!

Use ANY alkaline vegetable or fruit in a Stack Salad. Pickled onions and fermented lemons are not only alkaline forming but really add a delightful flavor to the mix.

Alkaline

Ratatouille served with purple sweet potato and small portion of meat. 3/4 of the plate is alkaline, 1/4 acid

Ratatouille

1 eggplant- diced

3 zucchini- quartered

2 onions- quartered

2 green peppers- sliced

5 tomatoes quartered

5 garlic cloves- minced

  1. Preheat oven  to 375
  2. Soak eggplant in salt water for 30 mins to remove bitter taste. remove eggplant from water and pat dry.
  3. Saute zucchini in 2 tablespoons clarified butter for 3-5 mins. Then put sautéed zucchini in baking dish.
  4. Saute onions in 3 tablespoons clarified butter for 3-5 mins on medium high. Then add sautéed onions to zucchini baking dish.
  5. Saute green peppers in 2 tablespoons of clarified butter for 3-5 mins then add to other veg’s in baking dish.
  6. Saute eggplant in 3 tablespoons of clarified butter for 3-5 mins, then add to other veg’s in baking dish.
  7. Add tomatoes to the baking dish and stir all ingredients together
  8. Bake for 40 mins.
  9. Take out of oven and add thyme or herbes de Provence if you want to add no herbs. It’s delicious with or without herbs
Iron Skillet Tenderloin Smothered in Onions and Peppers

Iron Skillet Tenderloin Smothered in Onions and Peppers served over mashed potatoes with asparagus

Iron Skillet Tenderloin Smothered in Onions and Peppers

1 grass fed tenderloin (I used venison- it’s less acid) sliced thin

1 green or red pepper- sliced in strips

1 onion- sliced in strips

4 tablespoons clarified butter

Optional: All seasons salt

Sautee onions and peppers separately. Add to a bowl to wait. Last sauté tenderloin pieces for 3-4 mins. Then add onions and peppers to the tenderloin.

Serve on top of homemade mashed potatoes. YES! Potatoes are ALKALINE! Make your mashed potatoes with clarified butter and a little milk (raw goat milk is alkaline).  Remember it’s ok to have had 30 percent of your meal acid forming from good food. If you cant get raw milk, organic grass fed pasteurized milk can be your acid forming ingredient in the potatoes.

Serve with a LARGE alkaline forming salad! YUM! Drink purified water with lemon.

Soaked for 6 hours and baked on 200 for 12 hours- YUM

Soaked for 6 hours and baked on 200 for 12 hours- YUM

Soaked and Slow Basked Raw Cashews– Do not eat RAW without soaking and baking. Your digestive system will be suffering if you eat them raw. Cashews are alkaline, high in protein, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium.

Soak RAW cashews in purified salt water for 6 hours. No more, no less. They get slimy if you let them sit longer. Drain. Pour into large pan to slow roast. Salt to taste.  Bake on 200 degrees for 12-24 hours.
