Hi Stamping friends, I have a quick and easy “At Home with You Fall Card” to share with you today.

My share today is the At Home with you Fall Card created for this week's Freshly Made Sketches. You can find the details and measurements on my blog @ stampinwithsandi.com

This little metal vase full of sunflowers surrounded by pretty fall pumpkins was the perfect image to complete my fall card today for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #306

Stampin Up Painted Autumn Designer paper is found on page 49 of the Holiday Catalogue.

And I coupled it with the Painted Autumn Designer Paper, page 49 of the Holiday Catalogue, making my colouring choices super easy as Stampin’ Up! lists all the colours in the Designer paper right under the heading.

Funny, I have had this bundle for awhile, but it saw ink for the first time today.  You can find it on page 54 of the Annual Stampin Up Catalogue.  With 25 photopolymer stamps and a coordinating 12 piece Framelit Set this bundle covers a variety of seasons and events.  Ordering the Bundle #145351 will save you 10%

When the images are small and detailed as this one is, I find using my blender pen and ink pad lids is the perfect colouring combo.

I used Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Old Olive and Real Red.

The image is die cut with the second largest of the Stitched Shapes Ovals, and matted it in black with a Layering Ovals Die.

There was a black leaf cut with the Seasonal layers Die sitting on my design table, so I decided to pop that in behind as well just for a little added interest.  I love how dramatic it makes the leaf look!

Hi stampers, today’s share is created with the Pick a Pumpkin Bundle from Stampin Up.

Pick a Pumpkin card by Sandi @ www.stampinwithsandi.com, stampin with sandi, sandi maciver, Canadian Stampin Up Demonstrator, Fall Cards, Pumpkin Cards, Pick a Pumpkin Stampin Up

This Bundle has the most adorable pumpkin images, and crazy fun coordinating thinlits making this card so much fun to create.

Pick a Pumpkin Stamp Set from Stampin Up www.stampinwithsandi.com

They come in wood or clear sets and also in bundles with the dies.  Ordering them together will save you 10% (link at the end of the post).

My card share is for the Paper Players Challenge for this week, clean and simple with a harvest theme – I think I nailed it, haha.

Sandi’s Tips and Tricks for the Pick a Pumpkin Card

  • I used the small maple leaf stamp from the Colorful Seasons Stamp set and Wild Wasabi ink to stamp the leaf background.
  • I die cut the two pumpkins from the piece of black card stock and then stamped and cut out the pumpkins and gourd.
  • I started on the right side gluing down the outline pumpkin, the Crumb Cake pumpkin is attached with glue dots, and the remaining 3 are attached with Dimensionals to give the art piece some depth.
  • I saved the stars from the solid pumpkin die cut, and cut out a couple of curly stems in Crumb Cake, attaching them all with multipurpose glue
  • My final touch was the crow, borrowed from the Graveyard Gate Stamp Set, and a bow created with Linen Thread.

This bundle is a stamp set/ Thinlits Dies Combo with this amazingly intricate gate Die!

Graveyard Gate Bundle fry Stampin with Sandi.com

along with a bone chillin selection of graveyard pieces.  I had a little fun with them, and here is a mini tutorial for you with the steps.

I used the New Detailed Gate Thinlits Dies to create this pretty card today combined with some sponging on Glossy white card stock and embellished with roses from the Happiest of Days Stamp Set from Stampin Up. stampin with sandi, sandi maciver, stampin up card ideas, canadian stampin up demonstrator.

And this Gate Die isn’t just for Halloween – I created a pretty birthday card with it in this post

A Night in the Graveyard – Mini Tutorial

paper to sponge mountains Stampin with Sandi.com

I started by cutting a piece of printing paper and using the Basic Black ink and a sponge to create my mountains.  Use both the positive and the negative side of the paper to add depth and shadows to the mountains.

I used the 1-3/8″ punch to punch a piece of Daffodil Delight for the moon, and sponged more Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie on it.

I glued the moon to the top right corner of my card, and added a little more Daffodil Delight to the sky before using the edge of my Black Ink pad to create the wispy clouds.

Angle the ink pad so you are just using the edge, and then twist it slightly to the left and right to created the angles with the ink.

Glue half of the die cut fence onto the card front, and then stamp the tomb stones, the crow and the bats also in black ink.  (I’ll share with you what I did with the other half of the gate in a future card!)

You will find this Spooky Night Designer Series paper in the Stampin Up Holiday Catalogue - stampin with sandi, Stampin Up, Sandi MacIver,

Then I cut out some pumpkins from the Spooky Night Designer Paper to embellish the card.

The little curly pumpkin stems are die cut using the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits – page 51 of the holiday catalogue

Four Panel Christmas Card

Hi stamping friends, today’s share is a Four Panel Christmas card with the Star of Light stamp set used for the sentiment.

Today's share is a Four Panel Christmas Card created with the Seasonal layers Thinlits and the Star Of Light Stamp Set from Stampin Up. Sandi MacIver, stampin with Sandi, Canadian Stampin Up Demonstrator, STampin Up Canada, Stampin UP Card ideas.

Tips & Tricks for the Four Panel Christmas Card:

  • I first made this card about 5 years ago and shared it on my old blog, so it’s time to have another go at it with up to date Stampin Up Supplies.
  • Each panel is cut at 7/8 x 4-3/4.  I used the Banner Triple Punch to flag tail the ends before placing all four pieces inside the Softly Falling Embossing Folder and running it through my Big Shot.
  • I stamped the sentiment in the bottom right corner of the card front with the Lemon Lime Twist before adding the four panels to the front.
  • TIP – I find adding the outside two panels first, makes it easier to space to the two inside panels.
  • Next I wrapped the ribbon around the cross bar piece before using Glue dots to attach it to the card front.
  • More Glue dots were used to attach the card front to the Thick Whisper White Card base.
  • I die cut the snowflakes from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits, 3 small ones and two mediums and attached those to the card front with Multipurpose glue.
  • A rhinestone in the center of each snowflake is the perfect amount of Bling for this pretty card.
  • And I topped it off with one of the In Colour Bitty Bows – LOVE that they coordinate with our ribbon.
  • a modern take on an old favourite!

Is your Glass Half Full?

Is your Glass Half Full?  Mine is most of the time, haha..    Do you ever look at a stamp set and instantly know who you can make cards for?  The Stampin Up Half Full set did that for me….

Is your Glass Half Full? Stampin Up Half Full Stamp Set, card by Sandi 2 stampinwithsandi.com

Tips & Tricks for the “Is Your Glass Half Full?” card

In my world, this is the perfect “girlfriend card” stamp set.  Good Friends, good wine, good times!….and of course I had to have a little fun watercoloring it.

I first stamped all the images with Archival Black Ink onto a piece of watercolour paper.  Then I coloured them with the aqua painter and ink pad lids in Old Olive, Berry Burst and Rich Razzleberry before cutting them out.

I stamped the sentiment in Archival Black, on the card front before attaching it to a Basic Black Mat and then attached it to a Thick Whisper White card base. (recipe below).

I added the wine bottle with glue dots, then the glass with Dimensionals and the grapes also with Dimensionals.

I embellished with a few of the green Iridescent Sequins.
