Thanks and More Thanks
At my last team meeting, our card swap theme was thanks. I forgot to share everyone's cards on my blog. Gasp! And, I haven't turned their 3" x 4" cards into full-size cards yet. Double gasp!! Here are their designs.

I had a great time on my retreat these last few days. I even started one of my upcoming card swaps using a new stamp set from the Occasions Catalog. Today, my hubby had carpel tunnel surgery on his right hand. The same surgery on his left hand is in two weeks. So far, he is doing well. It is definitely a thankful Tuesday at our house!
Creative Inking Blog Hop - Holiday Gift Ideas
Welcome to this month's Blog Hop featuring projects for Holiday Gift Ideas. Since the majority of my holiday gifts are gift cards, I decided to show you one of my favorite gift card holders. I used the Merry Little Labels Stamp Set and the Be Merry Designer Series Paper (DSP) to make this simple gift card holder.
Here it is closed and ready to give away.
This is the inside of the gift card holder with the removable belly band.
- Base: 5" x 7 3/4" Cherry Cobbler Cardstock, scored at 2 1/2" and 6".
- Fold up the bottom and adhere with Fast Fuse Adhesive on both sides, leaving a pocket to hold the gift card.
- Attach a 1 1/2" x 4" piece of DSP on top of the pocket.
- Fold down the top and attach a 2 1/4" x 4 3/4" piece of DSP.
- On the inside, attach a 2 3/4" x 4 3/4" piece of Whisper White Cardstock.
- Stamp the image in Garden Green Ink on the Whisper White Cardstock.
- Use a Cherry Cobbler Marker to color the berries.
- The belly band is 1" x 7 3/4" Cherry Cobbler Cardstock.
- Wrap it around the gift card holder and overlap the ends. Adhere it together with Fast Fuse. It should easily slip on and off the gift card holder.
- Add a small scallop Circle Framelit in Cherry Cobbler Cardstock to the front of the belly band with Fast Fuse.
- The final step is to add a green Mini Gift Bow to the scallop Circle Framelit.
Once you make one of these gift card holders, you will see how simple they are to make. You will want to make more than one, so you have some ready for those last-minute gifts of money or gift cards!

Block Background Card Using the Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set
Today's card uses a block background consisting of three different sizes and three different patterns of the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper. Usually, I'm not a big fan of using more than two patterns on a card. But, when the patterns all use the same color scheme, it tends to be less busy and more pleasing to the eye.
The three circles are the focal point of this card. Since they use the colors of the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper, your eyes are easily drawn to them.
Card Base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Soft Sky Cardstock, scored at 4 1/4"
- Top Left: 2 1/4" x 3" Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper
- Bottom left: 2 1/4" x 2" Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper
- Right: 1 1/2" x 5 1/4" Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper
Second Layer: Starburst Punch from Night of Navy Cardstock, attached to the First Layer with Dimensionals
Third Layer: 1 3/4" Circle Punch from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
Fourth Layer: 1 1/2" Circle Punch from Whisper White Cardstock
The sentiment is from the Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set and was stamped in Night of Navy Ink on the Whisper White Circle. The tiny branch is cut from Tranquil Tide Cardstock using the Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies. It was attached with a Fine-Tip Glue Pen. And, the final touch is an Old Olive Enamel Shape.

I have just about caught up from being in Salt Lake City for six days. This morning, I'm doing some volunteer work at a local school. Then, I'll be making food to bring to a family Thanksgiving on Saturday. And, I'm packing my bags again for a stamping and scrapbooking retreat until Tuesday. Have a fantastic Friday and enjoy your weekend!
