Congrats! - CTD788

Hello there! I’m hostess for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge and I’ve chosen the spring colors of pink, green and yellow. I hope you’ll take the time to play along!
The card I have for today features the Primrose Garden Bundle from Concord &9th, I used the same bundle on my card from last week’s challenge except today I used different colors and a different layout.
I used the following card stock colors to die cut the flowers and leaves: raspberry fizz, limeade ice, simply chartreuse (PTI). Pink pirouette, daffodil delight (SU).
I used the following inks to blend: pine needles & crushed olive for the leaves, wild honey & spiced marmalade (distress oxide inks). Raspberry fizz & hibiscus burst for the flowers (PTI).
For more inspiration, check out the design teams blog links below or you can go to the Color Throwdown blog for details on how to play along and see all of the sample entries in one location.

Primrose Garden - CTD787

Hello! Long time no see. I haven’t blogged since January but I have still been creating and sharing over on my Instagram account which you can see here

Today I’m jumping in to share my card for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge #787 where we’ve got some cool aqua and green colors to create with.
Ever since I saw the new Primrose Garden Bundle from Concord & 9th with the bold flower dies and the coordinating sentiment stamp set, I knew I need it. I’ve made a handful of cards using it so far and I absolutely love it!
To create my card, I started out by die cutting the outline base for the flowers and leaves from always artichoke (SU) card stock and adhering it to a white card base.

Next I die cut the large center flower and matching bud from cool caribbean (SU) and ink blended the center with peacock feathers distress oxide ink and added the black die cut center. For the leaves, I die cut them from old olive and lucky limeade and ink blended on some lucky clover and peeled paint distress oxide ink. the small cluster of flowers were die cut from taken with teal card stock and the medium sized flowers from white card stock and ink blended with tumbled glass. The berries were die cut from limeade ice (PTI) card stock and ink blended with some mowed lawn distress oxide ink. Once I assembled all of my die cut pieces, I die cut and stamped my banner and added some turquoise gems to the white flower centers and some tiny clear gems to the teal ones.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! It’s been a few months since I’ve posted here on my blog but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been creating cards. If you’re not aware, I’ve been posting over on my Instagram account which you can find HERE. Does that mean that I’ll stop posting here on my blog? No, but I won’t be posting as much. In all honesty posting on Instagram is an easier and faster to share my cards and it seems like I don’t get the traffic I used to here on my blog. If Instagram is not your thing, you can also see my cards on Pinterest HERE.

Speaking of Instagram, the above picture is of my top nine most popular cards that I shared on Instagram last year. It really kind of surprised me because almost all of the cards pictured I used Spellbinders dies to create them (other than the hollyhock thank you card which I used The Greetery supplies) and very little stamping.

For those of you who still stop by my blog or subscribe, I thank you and appreciate your support, I hope you’ll continue to do so but also hope you’ll pop over to my Instagram account as well.

Loads of Fun - CTD763

Hi there! It’s time for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge where we have some great new colors to create with!
Recently I purchased the Lawn Fawn Henry’s ABCs alphabet dies and I’m going to try and make sure I actually use them. I thought they be fun to use with the Loads of Fun stamp set since I haven’t used it in quite a while and of course I had to add some mice.
Supplies: Loads of Fun stamp set & dies, Henry’s ABCs dies, Small Slimline with Lift the Flaps, copic markers, white gel pen, Dandy Day stamp set & dies (for mice), tumbled glass & faded jeans distress oxide ink, Everyday Sentiment Banners, Doodlebug patterned paper for paper piecing, Night of navy & dark gray card stock, foam tape & glossy accents for bubbles.
For more inspiration, check out the design teams blog links below or you can go to the Color Throwdown blog for details on how to play along and see all of the sample entries in one location.
