MAY 2024 SMALL DIE AND STENCIL OF THE MONTH

May's Small Die of the Month is called Tropical Friends and features a parrot, a toucan and tropical foliage for them. This die set is SUPER cute and I can see this being a fast sell out!
I googled Toucans and Parrots and was AMAZED at all the bright colors these birds can have. They almost seem fake they are so vibrant and colorful! I chose bright fun colors and wanted to keep the background clean and white so they could POP off the page. I used the Leafy Helix EF for some texture.
MAY 2024 SMALL DIE OF THE MONTH

For my second card I combined the Small Die with Stencil of the Month, which is called Tropical Spray and has 2 layering stencils with abstract water or wave droplets.
I wanted a fun shaker element for this (I'm still trying to make at least 1 shaker card a month), so I used the ovals from  the Fran's Frames die set and filled it up with some pretty pink and green shaker elements. I used green inks with the stencil for a nice monochromatic backdrop for the pretty pink parrot. I really love how both of these turned out.

Products used on these cards:
-----
Gina K Design inks in Grass Green
Spellbinders Foil Roll in Bright Pink
Pinkfresh Studio Clear Drops in Blush and Magenta
Shaker card elements

Clean and Simple Tim Holtz Vault Bouquet cards

Hi everyone! I have a pair of clean and simple Hello cards to share today.  I used one of the new Tim Holtz Vault 2 Everyday release die sets.
In case you missed it, you can check out my card using the Vault Watch Gears die set HERE and my card using Vault World Travel die set HERE.
VAULT BOUQUET DIE SET

My cards use the fabulous Vault Bouquet die set. This set has a spiral rose, frame, butterflies and flourishes. It's quite literally my DREAM DIE SET!
I wanted to keep my cards clean with pops of color, so I die cut aqua, pink and mustard papers from the Vacation and Sprinkles A2 Cardstock paper pads.

Supplies used on this card:
Kuretake Gansai Tambi Starry Colors (background splatter)

Monochromatic rainbow cards

Hi everyone! I have a fun trio of rainbow cards to share today. I played along with the Honeybee Stamps May Buzzworthy challenge which is RAINBOWS!
Look how fun these are! I wanted to play around with monochromatic rainbows, so for each card I chose light and dark cardstock, ink and glitter foam to match. I used stamps and dies from the Rainbow Dreams collection. I love every single thing in this collection. I had to buy it all!
Here is the blue version
I love the sparkle and dimension the glitter foam gives 😍 I lightly blended Tumbled Glass in the background which didn't photograph well, but you can see best behind the green rainbow.
Here is the green version
Here is the purple version.
This one is going to my sister who loves all things purple!
Supplies used on these cards:

Flower cart card and redo -do you have a favorite?

Hi everyone! You know how you make a card and something is just off? Then you take apart and redo it and your friends say they like the original version better? Yeah me either 😄 But if I did, it would look like this.

Here is the original version of my card:
I used the super cute Flower Cart die set by Scrapbook.com and had some ink blending in the background. The panel was trimmed and mounted to a Scallop A2 Rectangle die cut.
To give the flowers a bit of dimension I used Pops of Colors for the centers. I think they give the perfect amount of something special.
Here is my final version:
I saved the Flower Card die cuts and put them over a smaller die cut with the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles panel with much lighter ink blending. I mounted that to the Diagonal Stitched Plaid coverplate both sets are from Pinkfresh Studio.
So, do you have a favorite??
I like them both equally and am glad I saved a photo of the first version so I could share both!

Supplies used on these cards:
Pops of Colors in Gloss Sunshine and Gloss White
Distress Oxide inks in Rustic Wilderness and Tumbled Glass

Before I go, Monday was International Scrapbook day and to celebrate Scrapbook.com has lots of deals, 3 freebies and deals of the day!
10% off of 15 brands
FREEBIES -don't forget to add them to your cart!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Spellbinders Propagation Garden Part 2 - 2 card designs

Hi everyone! I have 2 more cards to share today with the fun Propagation Garden collection designed by the talented Annie Williams for Spellbinders. This collection is for all you plant lovers!
If you missed my first 2 cards with the collection, you can check out my blog post HERE.
The collection has 3 die sets, 1 wax seal, 1 embossing folder and 1 press plate set.
My cards use the Tropical Leaves press plate and the sentiments are from the Propagation Garden Sentiments stamp and die set and the background for one of the cards uses the Leafy Helix embossing folder.
I wanted to bring in the pink color from the leaves in a fun way, so I added a slim strip of pink glitter cardstock to each card!
TROPICAL LEAVES AND LEAFY HELIX EF

My first card uses the Tropical Leaves press plate using the BetterPress black ink. This black ink is waterproof and perfect to use with Zig Markers. I went online and found some tropical leaves that had a variety of greens and pops of bright pink, so I used those as inspiration. For the background, I embossed white cardstock with the Leafy Helix embossing folder.
TROPICAL LEAVES

For my second card, I wanted to keep it quick and easy, so I die cut out an arch shape with the Essential Arches die set and added some cardstock strips along the bottom similar to my first card. I colored the single branch image and placed it in the center and added a sentiment and gems. Easy peasy!
I love how both of these turned out.
